The massive Covid-19 rescue package President Joe Biden signed back in March is now offering free health insurance to some Americans through the end of 2021.
The benefit’s zero-premium health plans were made available this month, with no income limits for qualifying.
If you’ve gotten or have been approved for unemployment benefits during 2021, you could qualify to receive free health coverage for the remainder of the year through HealthCare.gov., the marketplace established under the Affordable Care Act, which is also called Obamacare.
The free health plans are provided by private insurers, offering low or even no co-payments or deductibles.
Middle-of-the-pack “silver” plans with $0 monthly premiums were rolled out at the beginning of July as part of the program.
Since unemployment has continued to remain high this year because of the pandemic, tens of thousands of Americans may be eligible to take advantage of the free health care.
